The second stage of the National Political Science Bee is the annual National Championships. The inaugural National Political Science Bee National Championships will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 in Arlington, VA at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.
The National Political Science Bee National Championships are one of a number of events over the period April 23-26 which constitute the International Academic Competitions Varsity and Junior Varsity US National Championships. Further logistical details on IAC Varsity & JV Nationals weekend are available here. Registration will open for the National Championships by November 2019.
The National Championships of the National Political Science Bee consist of two components. The first is the actual competition, which consists of three preliminary and two final rounds of buzzer-based quiz competition. Each round will have 35 questions.
Please see the following files for details on the scoring systems and rules.

The number of students who make the playoffs and who advance from the semifinals into the finals will be a function of the total number of registrants and will be posted here in advance of April 23.
The second component of the National Championships of the National Political Science Bee will be dinner seminars with influential politicians, policymakers, members of the military and diplomatic communities, and others influential in the political life of Washington, DC and the surrounding area. Once moderators are confirmed and topics have been agreed upon, we will provide students with a list of topics and ask them to select their top choices. The dinner seminars provide a great way for students to get to know how American political, military, diplomatic, and public service community members influence public and international affairs. It is hoped that through the seminars students will also get to meet other likeminded students from around the country and gain further knowledge into a potential career in one of these fields.
