The National Political Science Bee was founded to promote education in civics, political science, and related topics to students throughout the USA. For students to succeed in the competition, however, they must know specifically what topics will be covered and in what degree of frequency. We have thus compiled a question distribution file for both the 50 question B Set and C Set National Qualifying Exams and the buzzer-based competition rounds at the National Championships. This file is available for download here.
Note that the A Set National Qualifying Exam will be based on the AP US Government and Politics curriculum instead. All of the topics on that exam are also potential topics that can come up on the B or C Set National Qualifying Exams or at the National Championships as well. The focus of the A Set National Qualifying Exam will help expand the visibility of the National Political Science Bee to AP US Government and Politics, as International Academic Competitions, the organizer of the National Political Science Bee, will be making the A Set exam available free of charge to AP US Government and Politics teachers across the country. The A Set Exam may also be taken at National History Bee and Bowl A Set tournaments, or by individual students who request to take it with a teacher or community proctor administering it (just as is the case for the B and C Set exams).
